Mick Thandi


Mick’s island roots were planted in his early teens, when his family moved from B.C.’s north to Port Alberni. Having spent his formative summers in the spectacular beauty of central Vancouver Island, Mick found that Victoria offered the opportunity and excitement of the city without compromising the island lifestyle he loved. After completing his studies in Business at  Camosun College, Mick began building his professional experience in tourism, marketing and healthcare. A pivotal role as a Physician Engagement Specialist with the Vancouver Island Health Authority helped him hone his ability to build and maintain value-based relationships with clients, and to solve problems in high-pressure, high-stakes situations.

These key professional skills, combined with Mick’s authentic, approachable nature and his extensive local expertise are why we chose him to be our exclusive south island team member. Sharing a passionate belief in hard work, progressive marketing, a high degree of professionalism, and an elite level of client service, Mick is the ideal person to serve Sean McLintock & Associates clients south of the Malahat. When he can tear himself away from work, Mick loves to get out in Victoria’s local mountains for a hike, and if you’re lucky, you might also catch him playing music at venues around the city.


Kayla Lyall
Listing & Marketing Coordinator – unlicensed

With a background in Human Resources, Kayla is focused on building and improving client relations, and is absolutely driven to provide the best experience possible for home buyers & sellers. Originally from Port Coquitlam, Kayla moved to Nanaimo in 2013 to attend Vancouver Island University (VIU), and really enjoys the change of scenery and the quieter pace of life on the island. She’s currently hard at work pursuing a dual degree in human resources and business management from VIU. As Listing and Marketing Coordinator, Kayla works hands-on each day with agents, sellers, buyers, and brokers, ensuring that the transition is as smooth as possible for all parties. Additionally, she is fluent in american sign language and can assist those who may be deaf or hard of hearing. She loves the day to day challenges and constant changes involved with working in the real estate field. Due in part to her background in HR, Kayla is very skilled at building positive relationships across the board. Kayla loves everything the island has to offer, and lives for those perfect summer days when the sun is high and the water is warm. She also competes in fitness competitions, and can often be found training hard at the gym when she’s not at school or work. An outgoing, friendly and multi-talented professional, Kayla is one of the main smiling faces of the McLintock team and will make home-buying or selling that much easier.


Travis Briggs
REALTOR® & Client Services Manager

A lifelong Nanaimoite, Travis comes from a background centred on the housing industry, with five years of experience building custom houses with Dogwood Mountain Homes. Having worked on building houses from the outside in, he can translate that experience to helping clients find their perfect home with his honest advice, industry expertise, and knowledge of what makes a quality home. Travis has also worked in the hospitality industry, which has helped to form an aptitude for providing a very positive experience to all clients. In addition, spending much of his youth on the ice as a jr. hockey player for both the Oceanside Generals and Nanaimo Buccaneers has provided a rock solid foundation for teamwork skills. This is perfect for his role as Client Services Manager/Realtor®–the first contact point for clients looking to list or purchase a home. When he isn’t working, he can be spotted playing hockey or mountain biking on the South Benson and Doumont trails. Personable and driven, he aims to build professional relationships that last a lifetime, and is excited to bring his extensive knowledge in communication and in his new role as a Realtor®.


Christi McPhee
Office Manager – licensed

With an impressive background of over 15 years working in various aspects of the industry, Christi has a wealth of experience with every facet of Real Estate, and brings integrity to everything she does. Originally from the mainland, Christi and her family -including two children, Brandon and Ashley- moved to Nanaimo in 2003 and have been happily settled in since. Christi began her career with a Legal Administrative Assistant Certification, focusing on Real Estate Law. She has moved up the ladder over the years, working with firms such as Royal LePage, RE/MAX, and 460 Realty. She worked as a conveyancer with RE/MAX of Nanaimo and was also a licensed REALTOR® for several years, achieving top sales. Because of this, she has a very wide range of knowledge and expertise. Christi thrives on providing an amazing client experience, and particularly enjoys the challenge of real estate, with its ever-changing trends. In her role as Office Manager, Christi works as an integral part of the team and acts as the lead resource for the office. Combined with her enthusiasm for providing an excellent experience for clients, Christi is a very positive addition to the McLintock team. In her free time, Christi loves to play slo-pitch, travel, and unwind with family and friends.

Shawn Zawasky

Originally from Alberta, Shawn lived in Vancouver for 14 years and owned a condo downtown before relocating to Nanaimo in 2009. He spent three years researching property values throughout B.C. before deciding Nanaimo was the best move for his family. With his experience of both relocating and owning income properties, Shawn provides valuable insight to help clients maximize their return on investment when buying or selling. He also brings a background in elite customer service. Shawn worked for several years as the bell captain at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, where he took care of royalty and movie stars, earning multiple awards for outstanding guest service. In 2011 Shawn started a courier business that delivered exclusively for a dental lab in Vancouver and carefully looked after its clients, a group of Vancouver Island dentists and orthodontists. He has built a reputation on his excellent rapport with clients and putting them first, something he considers paramount in the real estate industry. When he isn’t matching up clients with their dream homes, Shawn can be found on the water, fishing for steelhead, salmon, and trout, and will, on occasion, divulge the hotspots where he’s catching them. Married to his high school sweetheart, Shawn and his wife enjoy camping, swimming and hiking the West Coast Trail with their son and daughter.
